General Guidelines

To post to our mailing list, you have to join our Google group. Keep posts to the mailing list topical.

Anything you post is publicly accessible - email addresses, phone numbers, expressions of interest in jobs. Make sure you reply directly to the original poster of an advertisement and not to the group.

If you violate any of these guidelines, or flood the list with spam, we reserve the right to ban you from the mailing list.

Once you've joined the group, you can send an email message to the group address from the address used on your Google account, or you can sign in and use the web form. After you first join, your posts will be moderated until we're sure you're not a spammer.

Jobs

We welcome job postings. However, we do ask that you follow a few guidelines.

• The subject line should start with "[JOB]", to facilitate filtering.
• The job should be for Apple-related development, e.g., Cocoa, WebObjects, or iOS.
• The post should indicate a rough geographical location (e.g. downtown, Markham), and whether it's contract or permanent. For a contracting gig, the initial duration should be noted.
• There should be a clearly identified contact person in the body, with at least a return email address.
• It should be made clear that replies should be kept off-list, and go directly to the poster.

Members, feel free to post your availability for contracting and permanent gigs. Again, make it clear that replies should be direct and kept off-list.

For Sale

We welcome postings about items for sale. However, we do ask that you follow a few guidelines.

• The subject line should start with "[FOR SALE]", to facilitate filtering.
• The items for sale should be for items relevant to Apple developers (e.g., Macs, iOS devices, peripherals — no cars or Florida swampland).
• No commercial advertising is allowed. Also, this isn't Craigslist, so don't overdo it.
• It should be made clear that replies should be kept off-list, and go directly to the poster.
